Arlon Electronic Materials, October 3, 2006 -- Arlon announced the October 24, 2006, Grand Opening of a new Arlon manufacturing facility in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. This operation entitled “Arlon Material Technologies Co., Ltd.” complements Arlon’s longstanding operations in Delaware and California in the United States. This facility will contain a new, State-Of-The-Art Vacuum Press that has capability to laminate both High Temperature PTFE Microwave Laminates as well as Lower Temperature Epoxy and Resin Based Electronic Substrates. This plant will be equipped with the highest degree of process control in the industry. The facility will serve a broad base of markets including printed circuit boards for high performance, high temperature, microwave and RF applications.
According to Arlon President Bob Carini, “The variety of materials manufactured at Suzhou will broaden over time. With our new China operation we will be able to support our local and regional China customers, as well as our world-wide customer base.”
Arlon has been operating within China since June of 2004 when the Finishing Center (Arlon Materials for Electronics Suzhou, Ltd.) was opened. This fabrication service center has enabled Arlon to establish and develop customer relationships within China. With the opening of Arlon Material Technologies manufacturing operation, the role of the Finishing Center will be expanded to include additional Arlon products to service existing and new local customers.
The October 24, 2006, Grand Opening will include both local and International representatives from both OEM and printed circuit manufactures. Local officials from China, who have been involved in the process, will also be represented. Robert M. Carini, President, Arlon Electronic Materials, and William Lee, General Manager, Arlon Material Technologies, along with various Arlon Sales, Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering associates, will be present for the event.
